Persons achieving a degree with a concentration in Community Education will be eligible for employment in administrative positions by P-12 school systems in population areas having a large number of adults, or by businesses involved in school-related commerce, by non-profit organizations specializing in neighborhood reconstruction, or by municipalities concerned about health, housing, and unemployment issues. Outcomes for each graduate of this professional program include the ability to: - Understand, analyze, and reflect critically upon contemporary educational leadership from a variety of conceptual frameworks.
- Understand the environments (school, community, business, societal) within which educational leadership operates.
- Fulfill the responsibilities in the administration of the field.
- Interpret, apply and conduct research.
- Understand the nature of the learner in diverse educational settings.
