Didactic Program in Dietetics (B.S.Ed) Dietetic Internship and Residency Program (M.S.) The Didactic Program in Dietetics is approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE). The Dietetic Internship & Residency Program is accredited by CADE. CADE is the American Dietetic Association's accrediting agency for education programs preparing students for careers as registered dietitians (RD) or dietetics technicians (DTR). CADE exists to serve the public by establishing and enforcing Eligibility Requirements and Accreditation Standards that ensure the quality and continued improvement of nutrition/dietetics education programs. Only programs meeting those standards are accredited/approved by CADE. Exercise and Sport Science (B.S.Ed, M.S.) For successfully meeting established criteria, the National Strength and Conditioning Association officially recognizes The University of Memphis’s educational programs in Strength and Conditioning (BSEd and M.S. programs in Exercise and Sport Science). In addition, the undergraduate program in EXSS has been endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine as an ACSM Health/Fitness Instructor curriculum. - To view the undergraduate accreditations, please click here.

National Youth Sports Program (NYSP) The National Youth Sports Program is in compliance with federal guidelines established by the National Youth Sports Corporation. Physical Education Teacher Education (B.S.Ed) The Physical Education Teacher Education degree program is in full compliance having met all program standards for Initial Physical Education Teacher Preparation Programs established by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education and the National Association for Sport and Physical Education. Sport and Leisure Studies (B.S.Ed) Sport and Leisure Commerce (M.S.) The BSEd Sport and Leisure Studies degree program and the MS concentration in Sport and Leisure Commerce are approved by the Sport Management Program Review Council (a joint initiative of the North American Society for Sport Management and the National Association for Sport and Physical Education).
