One of the College Sport Research Institute's most important functions is supporting, recognizing, and disseminating the college-sport research of faculty from across the United States and around the world. The CSRI Faculty Affiliate program is designed to fulfill this function. Many of the institute's faculty affiliates have a long tradition of advancing knowledge of college-sport issues in formative ways, often bringing insight from basic disciplines, such as law, economics, management, and sociology to inform discussions of college sport issues and policy development in response to such issues. The topics examined by CSRI faculty affiliates are as diverse as the choices and challenges facing today's college-sport leaders. BENEFITS CSRI faculty affiliates receive the following benefits: - The opportunity to have their research highlighted by CSRI.
- Collaborative research opportunities with other CSRI faculty affiliates.
- Support of submitted college-sport research projects.
- As CSRI continues to develop funding sources, CSRI faculty affiliates have the opportunity to apply for and receive CSRI funding to support submitted research projects.
- The ability to actively engage in and support CSRI's efforts to encourage and support interdisciplinary and interuniversity collaborative college-sport research.
