This course of study leads to initial certification in Early Childhood Education (Pre K-4). The program prepares students to care for infants through young, school-age children in a group setting. Emphasis is placed on children’s physical development, mental growth, emotional needs, and socialization skills. A number of field hours are associated with this program. The degree program is designed to prepare students to meet competencies for Tennessee licensure.
