All students (graduate and undergraduates) must be admitted to the TEP Program. This is a set of regulations that are required by the State Department of Education for people who are pursuing a teaching license. Failure to complete the requirements for TEP Admission (undergraduates see page 1 of the TEP application and graduates see page 2 of the TEP application) will result in not being able to take TEP restricted classes until the requirements are met. This could result in delaying your graduation or meeting your certification requirements. Undergraduates are encouraged to turn in their TEP application after the completion of 45 semester hours. They should take and pass all portions of the PPST unless they have an Enhanced ACT score of 22 or above or a combined score of 1020 or above on the SAT at this time as this will be a requirement for TEP admission. See the TEP application for other requirements. Graduates are strongly encouraged to turn in their TEP application as soon as they have registered for their first six hours of coursework in the College of Education teacher licensure program. They should take the Praxis II Content Knowledge exam for their area of licensure at the very first available date as this is a requirement for TEP admission. Graduates must also submit passing scores on the writing portion of either the GRE or PPST. Graduate students whose undergraduate grade point average is below 2.5 must take and pass all sections of the PPST to be admitted to TEP. See the TEP application for other requirements.
